Something that I find intersting, is one big principle of hinduism is that nothing is ever lost or gained. Everything is about constant transformation. Think of simple science - think about the process of rain - from liquid, to solid to gas - nothing is ever lost. That topic as come up over and over again. As well Lord Krishna's Golden Age, something that is supposed to happen after Kal Yug(the current era according to hinduism).
"In Hinduism, the universe begins in the Satya Yuga and ends in the Kali Yuga. There are total four Yugas. And the cycle – creation and destruction – is repeated.
Satya Yuga lasts for 1,728,000. Treta Yuga lasts for 1,296,000. Dwapara Yuga lasts for 864,000 and Kali Yuga for 432,000." - http://www.hindu-blog.com/2008/11/2012-in-hinduism-how-hindu-religion-and.html
Many people think of destruction when they think of the end of anything. The reality is that usually its people that cause the destruction. There is more and more that find I daily that links the mayan calendar and the hindu predictions up more precisely.
Stop fooling around and just say if you know anything about 2012's Hindu version
